A Method to Reduce Eddy Current Loss of Underwater Wireless Power Transmission by Current Control

In recent years, wireless power transmission (WPT) technology based on magnetic resonance has been extensively studied. However, in contrast to that the air, seawater medium will be accompanied by inevitable energy loss, is, eddy current loss (ECL), which increase with frequency and coil current. this article, an equivalent circuit model of underwater is established, two methods reduce are proposed, optimal modulus ratio for dual-coil system calculated. Electromagnetic field (EMF) simulation software verifies correctness methods, it concluded increasing phase difference or controlling ensure a certain range can effectively improve efficiency about 4~5%.
